Mezzeluna:

A Grecian Odyssey in Cotati

Nestled in the heart of Cotati, California, Mezzeluna stands as a beacon of Grecian culinary art, paying tribute to the timeless beauty of Hellenic traditions. The name “Mezzeluna,” inspired by the embrace of the crescent moon, symbolizes the union of two distinct cultures: the rich traditions of Greece and the vibrant spirit of California.
In ancient Greek mythology, the moon has always been associated with cyclical changes, harvests, and new beginnings. Just like the moon’s phases, Mezzeluna celebrates the evolving journey of flavors, continually exploring and rediscovering Greek cuisine’s essence while adapting it to the Californian palate.
Every plate at Mezzeluna tells a tale of two worlds. The heart of our kitchen beats with age-old recipes passed down through generations of Greek families. We take pride in our olives, as shiny and deep as a Greek night, our feta that crumbles like ancient Greek pillars, and our honey, as golden as a California sunset. But Mezzeluna is more than its roots. Weaving in fresh Californian produce, sourced from local farms, ensures that every dish speaks of Greece while resonating with the bounty of the Golden State.
Mezzeluna is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience—a place where stories are shared and friendships forged. The walls, adorned with images of olive groves and azure seas, transport guests to Greece’s shores. Yet, the occasional Californian poppy reminds diners of Cotati’s fertile soils and the fusion unfolding on their plates.
The ambiance at Mezzeluna is as intoxicating as Dionysus’ wine. Live bouzouki music mingles with the soft murmur of conversations, creating an atmosphere where both Orpheus and the Beach Boys would feel at home. Our staff, skilled in Greek hospitality, ensures each guest feels like they’re dining in a Greek home—warm, welcoming, and filled with laughter.
In a world where fusion often means confusion, Mezzeluna stands as a testament to how two cultures, miles apart, can harmoniously unite on a single plate. It’s more than food—it’s a journey, a story, and a celebration. Join us on this odyssey, from the Aegean shores to the heart of California, and discover the magic that is Mezzeluna.
